Reviews – October 2007
Royal Opera House, Covent Garden

Rosalind Plowright’s volatile Fricka is far more focused, vocally, than I was expecting.
Richard Morrison – The Times 3rd Oct 2007

Wotan's family are a delightfully supercilious shower, including Rosalind Plowright's rather wayward Fricka
Richard Fairman – The Financial Times 4th Oct 2007

In particular, one felt Fricka's silent and gentle domination of Wotan: her insistence on his saving Freia was nicely book-ended with a touching moment near the end, when she gently comforted him at the front of the stage once he'd given up the treasure. Plowright remains a compelling and powerful singer-actress.
