DAS RHEINGOLD Reviews – October 2007 Rosalind Plowright’s volatile Fricka is far more focused, vocally, than I was expecting. Wotan's family are a delightfully supercilious shower, including Rosalind Plowright's rather wayward Fricka In particular, one felt Fricka's silent and gentle domination of Wotan: her insistence on his saving Freia was nicely book-ended with a touching moment near the end, when she gently comforted him at the front of the stage once he'd given up the treasure.
